Minnehaha County's Envision 2035 is a long-range comprehensive planning document that provides a guide for how the County will grow over the next 20 years. The plan will provide direction in making land use and development decisions throughout the rural area of the County. It will communicate our values, goals and policies for both our current residents and future generations.
Get involved! The Minnehaha County Planning Department is in the process of developing a new Comprehensive Plan known as Envision 2035. At this time the department is in the infancy stages of the plan's development. We expect this process to take from 12-18 months to fully complete the Envision 2035 plan.
We are currently in the process of developing a Task Force for the Envision 2035 plan. Once the Task Force is organized we will begin to develop the plan by hosting visioning sessions and public meetings.
