Exhibits Under Development

 

Two exhibits are currently under development, and we need your help!

Drive-Ins
"Drive-ins," an exhibit that will look at Sioux Falls' eating establishments in the 1940-60s, is slated for a 2008 opening. We are currently looking for artifacts and photos to support our research. Do you have uniforms, memorabilia, menus, receipts, photos, or other things from establishments such as The Barrel, Ricky's Drive-In, Cutler's, Dal-Ray Drive-In, Ray's Drive-Inn, The Cottage, Lee's Drive-In, or Bob's Drive-In? These are some of the restaurants we are considering for the exhibit, and your 3-D objects will help us round out our research! Call Adam Nyhaug if you have items to share at 367-4210 ext. 3032.

Vietnam

We are currently developing an exhibit on the subject of United States involvement in Vietnam. We plan to approach this topic from a wide variety of viewpoints. As such, we need your stories. Any story relating to the war or home front is welcome; military or civilian, from individuals, groups, or families, of any age during the conflict. Objects (photos, letters, souvenirs, articles etc…) that support the story are also highly desired.
