Prohibition was big in South Dakota as with elsewhere with South Dakota having its own statewide prohibition before the Nation Prohibition.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some beer industries tried to accommodate the harsh anti-alcohol views. Many breweries advertised their beer as "beverage" or "the drink" and during prohibition, made Temperance brews or near brews.
