Murder at the Pettigrew! January 1926 – John (Cracker Jack) Morris has been shot and killed at the boarding house at 131 N. Duluth Avenue. Morris, a notorious gangster, had been in hiding from both the government and the bootleggers he was supposed to testify against. The house had been locked up by Morris’s two body guards, and no one has entered or left the building since the murder. Morris had a large bounty on his head, and all six people remaining in the home are considered suspects.
Can you help us solve this mystery? Tour through the home and listen to each suspect give a statement. Then have an opportunity to question the detective and discuss your theory of the crime. Finally, the detective will reveal the true story.
Tickets for the Murder Mystery, Hit Me with Your Best Shot, go on sale January 2nd for $10. Shows will be two consecutive weekends, Jan. 19th, 20th and 26th, 27th, with tours beginning at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets in person at the Old Courthouse Museum, or over the phone at 367-4210. A $1 convenience fee per ticket will be added to each phone order.
